On the Moh’s scale, Amethyst has a hardness rating of 7, indicating its durability.

Characteristics:
Belonging to the Quartz mineral family, Amethyst is known for its varying purple hues, from very pale to dark. The medium-dark to dark tones are especially desirable, often fetching higher prices. Most Amethysts are relatively free of inclusions.
